A project developed with ESGpec evaluated 504 farms in five states, trained 46 technicians, and is now expanding its reach through accessible communication connected to the reality of those who produce.
An ESG project doesn't end when the last field assessment is completed. When data and lessons learned are transformed into clear information, the work expands its reach, recognizes those who participated in its creation, and strengthens the relationship between industry, technicians, producers, and society.
An example of this movement has just gained visibility on Alvoar Lácteos' social media. In a series of posts published on the Produtor Alvoar profile , the company presented the animal welfare work carried out in its supplier network with the support of technology and methodological coordination from ESGpec.
More than just publicizing an initiative, the series shows how a technical project can also generate value through communication.
A diagnosis built in partnership
The project reached 504 dairy farms in five states: Bahia, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, and Sergipe. The initiative brought together small, medium, and large farms with different structures, production systems, and regional realities.
To enable the fieldwork, 40 technicians were trained. Alvoar mobilized its network and teams, while ESGpec provided training, methodological coordination, the BEA Score technology, data processing and validation, analysis, reporting, and specialized technical support.
This joint effort enabled Alvoar to conduct a diagnostic study that it described as one of the most comprehensive ever carried out in the Brazilian dairy sector.
The scope of the project also brought an important lesson: promoting animal welfare does not mean establishing a single production model for all farms. It means understanding each reality, identifying opportunities, and supporting continuous improvements related to the health, comfort, management, and conditions offered to the animals.
When data meets a good narrative.
In the first publication of the series, Alvoar presented the scope of the project and linked animal welfare to a commitment to a healthier, more sustainable and responsible dairy supply chain.
The numbers help make this commitment concrete. 504 farms were evaluated, five states were reached, and 46 technicians were trained to work in the field. By communicating these results, the company transforms work that could remain confined to technical reports into public evidence of its actions.
The main publication also values the involvement of the properties and teams that participated in the diagnosis. This is especially relevant in ESG projects, where progress depends on collaboration between different actors in the supply chain.
Diversity as part of the strategy
The second publication delved deeper into one of the most relevant aspects found throughout the project: the diversity of Brazilian dairy production.
There is no single structure or system capable of representing all farms. Each property has its own characteristics, resources, and challenges. Therefore, evolution must consider the starting point and the real possibilities of each producer.
In addressing this diversity, Alvoar's communication avoids presenting sustainability as a distant standard or one restricted to properties of a certain size or technological level. The message is more inclusive: animal welfare should be part of the evolution of all farms, respecting their different realities.
This approach brings the content closer to those in the field and reinforces the role of diagnosis as a tool for guidance and continuous improvement, not as a simple classification of properties.
Knowledge that reaches the producer
The third publication took the communication to an educational dimension, presenting the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare and translating each of them into practical situations related to production.
The content addresses access to adequate water and food, animal comfort, disease and injury prevention, the possibility of expressing natural behaviors, and the adoption of management practices that reduce fear and stress.
By transforming these principles into a visual and easy-to-consult sequence, Alvoar broadens the reach of its work. Knowledge ceases to circulate only among specialists and begins to contribute to raising awareness and guiding producers, rural workers, and other people connected to the dairy chain.
A case study of value creation.
The work carried out by Alvoar and ESGpec shows that value creation in an ESG project happens in different stages.
First, technology allows for structuring assessments and transforming field observations into organized data. Then, analysis helps to understand different realities and identify opportunities for improvement. Finally, responsible communication makes this work visible, acknowledges the involvement of the supply chain, and transforms technical knowledge into useful content.
In this process, communication does not replace evidence. It arises from it.
By presenting the diagnostic scale, recognizing the diversity of farms, and sharing educational content, Alvoar demonstrates how ESG initiatives can go beyond corporate reports and contribute to relationships with producers, the dissemination of best practices, and the building of trust.
For ESGpec, this is an important example of how technology, field operations, data intelligence, and communication can work together.
When a project manages to produce reliable information and, at the same time, translate its learnings for different audiences, the result goes beyond diagnosis: it strengthens the capacity of the entire dairy chain to understand, communicate, and improve its sustainability and animal welfare practices.
