Bruna received the trophy live during the promotional event at Agroleite 2026 in Castro, Paraná.

And they took home: Bruna and Pedro Nunes with the RÚMIScore 2026 trophy.

The report features Bruna Silper, CEO and co-founder of ESGpec, a veterinarian with a PhD in Animal Science. On the family farm, she leads the management alongside Pedro Nunes, owner of Brejo Alegre since 1998. Together, they oversee the daily operations and decisions regarding management, staff, technology, efficiency, and profitability.

This experience is also part of Bruna's work at ESGpec. From the beginning, Brejo Alegre has been a space for applying and learning the company's solutions. The farm's routine helps to bring the tools closer to the real production conditions and to observe how data and indicators can support decisions.

“Being at the forefront of farm management alongside Pedro and leading ESGpec keeps me in direct contact with the day-to-day decisions of the dairy farmer. From the beginning, we have applied and improved the company's solutions at Brejo Alegre. This experience helps to understand how technology can fit into the routine and support decisions on other properties ,” says Bruna Silper.

In the RúmiScore 2026, Brejo Alegre achieved a score of 8.38, placing it among the best-performing properties in the country. The index combines 13 indicators, organized into four axes: production, reproduction, breeding and survival, and sustainability. Farms are compared within categories of similar breed profile and size.

In addition to these indicators, Brejo Alegre uses ESGpec tools to monitor other dimensions of the property. The BEA Score assesses aspects of animal welfare, the ESG Farm Score supports the analysis of ESG issues, and the PEC Calc calculates the carbon footprint of production. This data expands the monitoring of the farm and helps identify points that can guide management.

The article in Revista Leite Integral also details how the farm adopted individual monitoring collars to help identify estrus and generate alerts about the animals. The initiative aimed to improve management, focus the team's attention, and reduce the need to restrain cows for observation. The choice considered the reliability of the alerts, integration with systems already used on the property, and adaptation to the routine.

The implementation was gradual. The team compared the alerts from the collars with observations made during handling, not to test the technology, but so that the team could understand how it worked and trust the alerts. Thus, the team began to use the data to support decisions without replacing clinical evaluation or the experience of those who work with the animals.
