ESGpec selected for international publication on food system transformation alongside Danone, Nestlé and Marfrig.

ESGpec has been selected to be included in an international publication dedicated to concrete and scalable solutions for transforming food systems , in the context of the global climate agenda associated with COP30.

The Booklet of Cases – Food Systems Working Group is part of the SB COP30 agenda , an international initiative that connects science, market, public policy, and already implemented solutions. The project was developed with the goal of accelerating the adoption of climate strategies in the food sector.

The selection positions ESGpec in the Working Group on Food Systems , alongside global organizations such as Danone, Nestlé, Minerva Foods, and Marfrig , recognizing the relevance of the Brazilian solution in the international debate on livestock, climate, and sustainability.

Although COP30 is an important milestone, SB COP30 was conceived with a long-term vision, structured to extend beyond the event and support the continuous implementation of solutions for global food production.

In addition to the Booklet of Cases , which brings together applied and scalable case studies, the SB COP30 also published the SBCOP Food Systems Document , a broader technical document that consolidates guidelines, diagnoses, and strategic recommendations for global food systems. Together, these materials serve as a bridge between scientific evidence, field experiences, and decision-making agendas, reinforcing the role of food systems in building resilient, efficient trajectories aligned with global climate goals.

What is the Food Systems Working Group?

The Food Systems Working Group brings together applied cases that demonstrate how food production can advance on three key fronts: climate mitigation, adaptation, and the generation of economic and social value. To be selected, cases should present real-world evidence of implementation, potential for scaling, and alignment with recognized measurement and reporting frameworks.

ESGpec is part of the selected group within the Livestock Solutions archetype , which focuses on solutions aimed at animal production with reduced emissions and the transformation of livestock systems.

What are archetypes and where does ESGpec stand?

The archetypes organize the Booklet's cases by solution type and strategic approach. In the Food Systems Working Group, they help demonstrate how different business models, technologies, and policies operate at key points in the food chain.

ESGpec was classified under the Livestock Solutions archetype , which encompasses initiatives focused on:

  • Sustainability in livestock production.

  • Emissions reduction and management,

  • improved production efficiency,

  • Integration between data, technology, and field practices.

In that same section, specifically focusing on South America , ESGpec appears alongside initiatives such as:

  • Flora Journey (Danone)

  • Nature by Nestlé: Encourage regenerative agriculture in dairy production.

  • The Renew Program (Minerva Foods)

  • Verde+ (Marfrig Global Foods)

The ESGpec case in the Booklet of Cases

The selected case study from ESGpec is titled: Scaling climate- smart livestock systems through digital ESG diagnostics.

The initiative highlights how ESGpec uses digital ESG diagnostics to scale climate-smarter livestock systems, with a special focus on the dairy sector. The approach combines applied science, internationally recognized metrics, and digital tools to support technical, strategic, and market decisions.

The material presented demonstrates how the structured measurement of ESG indicators allows for:

  • identify environmental risks and opportunities,

  • to support producers and cooperatives in transitioning to more sustainable practices,

  • Connecting field data with the demands of industries, funders, and markets.

Highlighting the ESGpec one-pager.

In addition to being included in the case list, ESGpec also had an exclusive one-pager (executive summary) in the Booklet , detailing objectives, case maturity, impact, and scalability of the solution.

Key highlights include:

  • ESGpec's role as a digital platform for ESG diagnostics applied to dairy farming,

  • the ability to integrate environmental, social, animal welfare, and governance metrics,

  • The reach has already been implemented in Brazil, with the potential for national and international expansion.

Alignment with MRV and reporting systems

A central point of the ESGpec case is its alignment with the Food Systems Working Group regarding MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) structures . This alignment demonstrates that the company's solution was designed to meet the requirements for consistent measurement, structured reporting, and data verification capabilities, in line with the guidelines adopted by the working group.

In practice, this means that the ESGpec platform is prepared for:

  • collect data consistently,

  • generate reliable indicators and reports,

  • to allow verification and comparability over time.

This aspect is especially relevant in the context of climate policies, responsible supply chains, emissions inventories, and corporate strategies aligned with climate transparency.

An achievement that connects Brazil to the global debate.

ESGpec's inclusion in the SB COP30 Booklet of Cases reinforces the role of Brazilian innovation in building more sustainable and data-driven food systems. More than just institutional recognition, the selection demonstrates that solutions developed in the country are already engaging with global agendas on climate, food, and sustainable development.

The complete booklet is publicly available and brings together case studies from different regions and productive cultures, showing that the transition of food systems requires a diversity of solutions, from agriculture to livestock farming, always based on science, data and real-world implementation.
