ESGpec is selected for the SB COP and will have its case published in the SB COP Case Booklet and in the COP30 Granary of Solutions

The Brazilian startup ESGpec – Sustainability and Innovation in Livestock was selected to join the Sustainable Business COP 30 (SB COP) , a global initiative led by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) , which brings together the private sector around a positive climate agenda and is directly linked to the UN Climate Conference (COP30) , to be held in Belém, in 2025.

The approved case, titled “ESGpec – Scaling climate-smart livestock systems through digital ESG diagnostics,” will be published in the SB COP Case Booklet [1] and the COP30 Granary of Solutions [2] . These two instruments will serve as international showcases for concrete and scalable climate impact solutions. The Case Booklet will bring together the selected projects in an editorial format, while the Granary of Solutions will be an open digital platform, available to the global public.

The SB COP selected cases from leading global companies and institutions . Names such as BASF, Bayer, Carrefour Group, Cisco, Danone, Electrolux, Google, JBS, Klabin, Natura, PepsiCo, Petrobras, Saint-Gobain, Siemens, Suzano, and Tetra Pak are just a few examples from the list of giants participating in the initiative, as well as local projects and innovative startups. Among the approved cases, ESGpec positions itself as a representative of Brazilian innovation in dairy farming .

The proposal submitted by ESGpec is part of the Food Systems axis, which focuses on the sustainable transformation of food production, reconciling productivity, resilience, and low carbon. The case study showcases the results of Despertar Regenerativo , a project that offers free access to the PEC Calc tool, which calculates the carbon footprint of milk production based on international methodologies adapted to the Brazilian reality.

The project has already reached more than 250 farms in different Brazilian states , representing nearly 100 carbon footprint calculations and more than 195 million liters of milk monitored annually . In addition to measuring emissions, the initiative includes animal welfare assessments and ESG indicators, promoting reliable data to guide the sector's sustainable transition .

"Being selected for the SB COP is already a huge achievement in itself: our work will be documented in official materials that will serve as a reference for governments, companies, and investors worldwide. But our pride is even greater knowing that we will be present in Belém during COP30, representing Brazilian dairy farming and demonstrating that it is possible to align production, innovation, and climate commitment," says Bruna Silper, co-founder of ESGpec.

The SB COP brings together companies, startups, and institutions around eight priority areas : energy transition, circular economy and materials, bioeconomy, food systems, nature-based solutions, sustainable cities, transition finance, and green jobs . According to the regulations, only scalable, innovative cases with a positive economic impact were selected, reinforcing the relevance of ESGpec's inclusion in this select group of global solutions.
