ESGpec completes its journey in the BitS2025 mission and strengthens bridges between innovation, sustainability, and internationalization.

ESGpec participated in the Brazilian Impact Techs in Spain mission , an initiative of Findeslab and Bcome.global in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Innovation Diplomacy Program), Sebrae, and FAPES. During ten days of immersion between Madrid and Barcelona, the mission brought together Brazilian technology and impact companies for strategic connections, institutional meetings, and an intense agenda of collective learning.

Represented by Bruna Silper, researcher, milk producer and CEO of the company, ESGpec completed the entire BitS2025 journey, connecting science, technology, sustainability and internationalization, and expanding perspectives for the global advancement of solutions in climate metrics and ESG in dairy farming.

A chat with Claudio Henrique Goldbach, from Bcome.global , responsible for the BitS2025 mission, and with the program team, sharing their first impressions of this internationalization journey.

First steps in Madrid: reception, pitches, and integration.

The journey began in Madrid, at the Casa do Brasil. The official opening combined a reception.

The event included institutional presentations, Brazilian coffee, pitches from impact tech companies, and meetings with representatives from the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce and the Brazilian Embassy. The atmosphere quickly evolved from formal to collaborative, giving rise to the first spontaneous conversations among the participants.

Lunch, consisting of rice and beans, symbolized a moment of human and cultural connection between Brazilians and Spaniards. In the afternoon, the Impact Talk, led by Claudio Goldbach, provided an in-depth discussion on entrepreneurial challenges, impact, and internationalization, with Bruna Silper representing ESGpec in the panel discussion.

As part of the preparatory agenda for Barcelona, the BitS2025 delegation was invited to the SCEWC Conexión Brasil–Cataluña, an official event organized by the Brazil-Catalonia Chamber of Commerce at the Cuatrecasas auditorium. The meeting brought together more than two hundred participants, including businesspeople, Brazilian mayors, and authorities from both countries, with support from the Consulate General of Brazil in Barcelona. This participation reinforced the mission's role as a strategic bridge between innovation ecosystems, expanding institutional dialogue and preparing the group for the Smart City Expo World Congress, one of the largest global congresses on smart cities.

ICEX and CDTI: Open doors to the future

One of the most strategic moments was the meeting with ICEX – España Exportación e Inversiones and CDTI – Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación, the Spanish equivalents of ApexBrasil and Finep. This mission allowed ESGpec to present its unique selling points directly to institutions that lead in attracting companies, promoting R&D, and programs like Rising Up in Spain.

The presence of Elisa Carbonell, a leader at ICEX, strengthened the visibility of Brazilian impact tech companies and allowed for a deeper understanding of the requirements, pace, and opportunities of the European market. The participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Innovation Diplomacy Program, offered essential support on regulatory and tax issues, reinforcing the role of diplomacy as a strategic bridge for Brazilian startups abroad.

Live networking: conversations that move forward

The mission also emphasized the organic integration among the participants. On long walks through the Madrid autumn, passing through El Retiro Park to Plaza Mayor, the group covered more than twenty thousand steps in conversations that alternated between technology, impact, personal challenges, and the future of internationalization.

The format showed that deep connections are born both at meeting tables and on shared journeys.

The Barcelona leg of the trip reinforced this perception. By visiting spaces dedicated to urban innovation and smart cities , the group was able to observe how technology, planning, and sustainability are interconnected in the city's daily life. Barcelona functions as a living laboratory for solutions that combine data, mobility, energy, and quality of life. The experience offered the group new perspectives on how different sectors – from urban to agricultural – can interact with territorial intelligence, systems design, and sustainable development, expanding their collective understanding of impact and internationalization.

Participation in Tech Show Madrid added an important layer to the experience. The event, which brings together some of the leading European hubs for cloud, cybersecurity, data, AI, and digital transformation, allowed the group to explore technological trends shaping global businesses. It was an opportunity to compare models, understand emerging demands, and observe how digital solutions are scaling in the European ecosystem. For the delegation, this contact reinforced the importance of building products prepared for interoperability, security, and international standards, broadening their vision of what it means to compete – and collaborate – in more mature markets.

Lessons learned from the journey: technique, strategy, and humanity.

The official press releases highlight lessons learned that impacted the entire delegation and also resonated strongly with ESGpec:

  • Internationalization is more about learning than about conquering.

  • Sustainability requires strategic direction and a clear purpose.

  • Tax differences require local accountants and lawyers.

  • Prospecting for clients is often more challenging than dealing with bureaucracy.

  • Marketing matters as much as technology.

  • Cooperative innovation accelerates results.

The group also discussed experiences and vulnerabilities related to motherhood and the personal challenges faced by entrepreneurs on international missions, reinforcing the human dimension present throughout the journey.

Barcelona: closure and vision for the future

In Barcelona, the mission reached its culmination. Through meetings, collective reflections, and emotional accounts, the delegation consolidated learnings, defined priorities, and reinforced the potential of the connections created. The final discussions confirmed the vision that marked BitS2025: internationalization involves listening, adapting, understanding contexts, and evolving as a company and as a team.
