This eBook was prepared by the ESGpec technical team based on the official booklet “Understand the National Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals” , published in 2024 by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) , with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) .

The original booklet aims to democratize understanding of the concepts, methodologies, and structures that comprise Brazil's National GHG Inventory. In this eBook, ESGpec proposes an interpretative reading applied to the agricultural reality , aiming to bring producers, technicians, managers, and other agricultural stakeholders closer to the climate management tools that underpin national and international emissions reduction targets.
